30/6/07 - Two of Compita's senior consultants shared their experiences of practical process improvement at the European SEPG Conference 2007 in Amsterdam in June.

Kevin Pulford provided an insight into the world of high-maturity organisations in his presentation ``High-maturity: lessons to learn in adoption of CMMI ML4 & ML5."

Steve Spratt joined Didier Audoor of Belgacom to present ``Empirical results gathered on the road to CMMI ML2."

Compita becomes SEI Partner for CMMI^® services

31/3/07 - Compita is delighted to announce that it has been accepted by the Software Engineering Institute (SEI) as an SEI Partner for delivery of CMMI training and appraisal services. Compita is licensed by the SEI to deliver SEI Introduction to CMMI training and SCAMPI appraisal services.

These will be offered alongside Compita's Process Professional suite of training, assessment and process improvement products, in order to offer choice and promote best practice to organisations engaging in improvement activities.

The SEI is a federally funded research and development centre. The institute's core purpose is to help others make measured improvements in their software engineering capabilities.

Since 1984, the SEI has been carrying out its mission to help others improve the way they develop software. With programmes in acquisition support, dynamic systems, software architecture, software engineering process management, and survivable systems, the SEI improves the state of the practice of software development worldwide. The institute is sponsored by the US Department of Defense and operated by Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.

Compita Europe exhibit at 9th Dutch SPIder Conference, Zeist

03/10/06 - For the first time, Compita Europe exhibited in its own right at a major conference of process improvement professionals. Joining guest speakers from the SEI, Capgemini, LogicaCMG, Bosch and Shell, Compita were one of the sponsors of the 9th Dutch SPIder Conference, held at the KNVB Sport and Conference Centre in Zeist, home of the Dutch Football Association. Managing Director Steve Spratt said, ``This is an important step for us. It broadcasts our presence to the key players in the Dutch market and at the same time gives visibility of the range of training, assessment and support services we can provide."

Official Automotive SPICE Launch Event, Gothenburg

26/09/06 - Compita joined representatives from Europe's leading car manufacturers and their suppliers at the Gothenburg Conference Centre in Sweden to mark the official launch of the Automotive SPICE process model, based on the ISO15504 standard. As contributing authors and Principal UK Experts to the original SPICE project which resulted in the creation of ISO15504, Compita has an excellent pedigree. Compita bring Automotive SPICE training to Japan

29/08/06 - A month ahead of the official launch of the Automotive SPICE process model, Compita delivers Automotive SPICE Assessor training to Sanyo Electric in Japan. Automotive SPICE Lead Assessor Irwin Fletcher was pleased with the response to the enhanced course, which builds on Compita's established material. Compita's standard ISO15504 Assessor and Lead Assessor courses have been delivered to hundreds of delegates around the world since their inception in 1996.

Compita's Public Training is on the move!

05/02/06 - Last year we brought our public training schedule to London with much success, running a number of CMMI^®, ISO15504 and other courses in the English capital. This year we are breaking more new boundaries, with courses in other major cities around the UK. We kicked off this month with both our Introduction to CMMI^® and PPA Assessor for CMMI^® courses in Leeds. The Introduction course took place at the Regus Centre by Leeds main railway station, whilst the Assessor course was kindly hosted by IBM UK at their Leeds Delivery Centre in Thorpe Park.

Compita at ESEPG^SM Conference 2004 in London

22/6/04 - Compita once more played a significant role in the European SEPG^SM Conference, which for the second consecutive year took place at the Novotel London West.

Compita consultants Donald Craigie and Stephen McAinsh presented a Track A seminar entitled `Process Improvement Programmes - A Costs & Benefits Model' which brought to one of the conference's largest audiences an overview of the work Compita has carried out with a number of key clients in this area over the last two years.

Compita's exhibition stand was busy throughout the week as live demos of the Cost & Benefits Model and its supporting software tool were given to small groups.
