Mac Craigmyle - Founder & Director
Mac is the original founder of Compita. He is well respected
internationally in process improvement circles and is often asked to speak at a variety of events worldwide. He was invited to serve as a core
member of the SPICE project (which developed the ISO15504 standard) because, along with Irwin Fletcher, he had developed the Software Technology Diagnostic method, one of the 6 key methods selected for
inclusion by the ISO.
Mac's experience of assessment and process management led him to
spearhead the development of Compita's Process Professional Portfolio of products. He is the architect of the Process Professional Model and the Process Professional Assessment method.
He has successfully deployed Compita's products in some of the largest companies in the UK,
including British Telecom, British Aerospace and Barclays Bank, extending the Process Professional Model to match their business requirements. This has involved incorporating systems
and hardware processes into what was originally designed to encompass software development. Mac's contribution to product development continues to be significant.
