Over many years of detailed quality and process related assignments with clients around the world, Compita consultants have been involved in identifying improvement opportunities. Frequently, these have included the training of client's staff in specific skills.

To aid the effective transfer of these skills, Compita has developed an extensive range of modular training programmes.  These have been offered on a public basis at various venues since early 1994.

Amongst the early and most successful programmes were Service Level Management and Configuration Management, both of which are still very much in demand.

Gradually, new client needs encouraged us to extend our repertoire, firstly into Project Management courses and then into programmes specifically targeted at business users. One of the most popular is User Acceptance Testing which on occasions has run "back to back" in order to meet demand.

The addition of the Process Professional Portfolio to our product range led to the introduction of training courses which support these products being incorporated into the public training schedule.

People from all over the world have visited the UK to attend the Process Professional Assessment Practitioner training programme, and more recently, the same has been true for our CMM® training.

The portfolio continues to grow. Recent additions include Crisis Management, Risk Management and Software Quality Assurance and courses are now available to complement the tools and services we provide to support the CMMI® model.

In-House Training Programmes

In addition to the public schedule of training, we regularly run in-house training for our clients. This can often prove more cost effective for an organisation wishing to train 4 or more of their staff in a particular topic. One of the most popular subjects for in-house training is Project Management.

Our clients can select from a vast number of modularised topics to create a programme which suits their specific requirements using standard Compita material. Often this is augmented with case study material tailored or developed to directly reflect the client's specific circumstances. In this way programmes can be focused on those topics most relevant to the client's needs.

Other popular in-house programmes have included the two day Reviews & Testing, the five day ISO15504 or CMM® Assessment Practitioner, and the shorter programmes Practical Estimating Techniques and Establishing a Metrics Programme.
